This site is about all the things I have learned about Linux, Programming, DIY, 3D Printing, Robotics, Stock Markets, Machine Learning, and such.
Most of the Linux Projects you are going to find here are based on a Debian Minimal Base Operating System or Raspbian Lite running just a Window Manager/Panel/Application Launcher not a Full Blown Desktop Environment (unless you want to install one yourself). For Linux I think OpenBox, Compiz, and dwm are great Window Managers. Compiz for 3D Effects, OpenBox for a minimal floating WM and dwm for a tiling lightweight system with limited resources such as a Raspberry Pi. I also use LightDM as a Display Manager as well. I have found xfce4-panel to work very well for a Panel, Application Launcher, and Widgets but you could always install your own. This is to mainly show how to interact with an Operating System with Commands instead of just Point and Click and have no understanding how the System works.
Most of the Robotic Projects are based on either an Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, or an ESP8266. Most of the Robotics Code could be ported to other systems but for projects that have Sensors, Actuators, or Motors you will have to implement the GPIO Interface yourself using any library you want.
Most of the 3D Printing Tutorials are going to be based on Marlin the Open Source Firmware for 3D Printers put onto an Anet A8 but most Printers have a Boards file that you could use for your own board. Common Upgrades for 3D Printers such as Automatic Bed Leveling with a Probe (UBL), Increasing Voltage from Power Supply, Adding Mosfets for Hot Bed/Hot End, Octiprint, and LED's are the main subjects.
I have an engineering/Programming background so I started with Technical Analysis and developed API's and algorithmic data analysis, backtesting, and Machine Learning Applications to forecast and analyze. I like ThinkOrSwim from TDAmeritrade as a platform and my main indicators are MACD, RSI, Stochastic Oscillator, Chaiken Money Flow, Money Flow Index, Accumulation/Decumulation. I prefer looking at ETF's and macroeconomics rather than trying to predict price targets for individual stocks. Commodities, Futures and Options are things I am interested in as well.
I do not sell any personal data or run ads and I manage my own VPS and try to host all assets from my server locally so when you visit this site you should not be fetching things from CDN's. Any unauthorized attempts to access the server will result in being blacklisted.
